The 8,000 sq. ft. store offers innovative adidas products for all sports and lifestyles, including current trends from our Sport Performance and Originals lines, to ensure visitors find something new and exciting each time they enter the store. Sports fans can shop for defending MLS Champion Houston Dynamo gear and official Houston Rockets NBA apparel.
"Recognized as both a professional and recreational sports market, Houston is an excellent fit for our newest adidas Sport Performance Store," said Mark Friedman, senior vice president of retail, adidas America. "This store showcases the breadth and depth of the adidas brand, while offering the consumer a unique and innovative shopping experience. We want Houston consumers to think of the adidas Sport Performance store as not just a store, but as a destination for all athletes."

The store design is minimalist in concept - all the walls and furniture are black or white, which allows the product to be the focal point for the customer. The materials, shapes and fixtures throughout the store are inspired by components found in sport, but still are practical and functional, based on specific product presentation needs: hanging product bars resemble weight lifting bars; hooks on the wall allow product to be draped as if someone casually hung it there after a long work-out; and instead of traditional shoe racks, shoes are displayed on running starter blocks.
In order to address the consumers' needs in a targeted and focused way, adidas has created two unique retail experiences. The Sport Performance Stores offer consumers high-performance product and leading edge technologies. The Originals stores, such as the Originals Dallas store on North Central Expressway, exclusively feature adidas Originals product, a true fusion of sport authenticity and global street style. The Houston store is adidas' ninth Sport Performance Store in the U.S. (others include: Chicago; Irvine, Calif.; New York; Seattle; Las Vegas; Santa Monica, Calif.; Springfield, Mass; and San Francisco).
